Meena International is an accredited Proficiency Testing Provider as per ISO 17043:2010, by NABL. Our Certificate No. is PC-1052, Dated 31/03/2021, as per annexed Scope of Accreditation to the Certificate. Successful participation in our PT Program by aspirant NDT Laboratories holding / in the press of getting accredited to ISO / IEC 17025, will be treated as successful compliance with interlaboratory comparison part.

The programs are open from the 1st of March 2022 for 6 months (up to 30th August 2022) & the maximum number of participants is limited to 10 for each cycle for Ultrasonic Testing & Magnetic Particle Testing and 4 for Liquid Penetrant Testing.

Certificates will be issued individually to every successful participant laboratory within seven days from the date of completion, return of the specimen(s)along with original Proficiency testing reports.

The following are chargeable extra to the Participating Laboratory:

a. GST @ 18% or as applicable at the time of billing,
b. Transport cost @ actuals for sending specimens and collecting back. This would vary depending on distance from Chennai and the number of methods selected by the laboratory. Government laboratories may assume a charge of ₹ 8,000/- lumpsum for door-to-door delivery and collection. However, if the actual charges are less, we will charge the actual expenses incurred and if the actual charges are more, we will charge only the above maximum amount indicated. Please note that for item 2, the transport charges would be higher due to weight of the specimen which is approximately 60 Kg. The estimated charges will be indicted in the quote for aspirant participant laboratory.
c. For each proficiency testing cycle the maximum number of participants are limited to 10 except Penetrant Testing for which the maximum number of participants are limited to 4.
d. For optimizing the process, we suggest that if the participating laboratory wish to take PT for more than one NDT Method, they may take it at one time.
e. We have 12 windows available for participating laboratory to select given in the next page. The windows will be allocated on first cum first serve basis. We request you to provide two choices and when available we will assign the window of your first choice. If both choices are not available, we will call and agree on a mutually convenient window.
f.PT Materials will be dispatched to the participant laboratory only after completing the following:
- Submission of completely filled in General & Method specific application duly signed by the authorised person.
- Shall meet the eligibility criteria set by ISO / IEC 17043:2010 & NABL for participating the PT Scheme.
- A purchase / service order placed for the methods selected by the participating laboratory and settlement of full payment.
g. The specimen shall be opened only on the date agreed between Meena International and the Participating Laboratory.
h.Meena reserve the right to monitor the testing using tele conferencing using Zoom or MS Teams platform.
i.Scanned copy the final test report in the format provided by Meena International duly completed immediately upon completion of the testing shall be sent to Meena by email or WhatsApp and the original reports along with other supporting documents required along with the specimens packed and kept ready on the same day for collection by Meena International Chennai, failing which the PT will be considered void. The specimen shall be opened only on the date agreed between Meena International and the Participating Laboratory.
j.The PT material sent shall be re packed and kept ready for collection upon completion of the testing by Meena International assigned transporter.
k.If the participating laboratory could not complete the PT within the agreed time frame and return of the specimen is delayed a penalty of ₹ 1,000.00 (Rupees one thousand only) will be charged per day per method.
l.Results will be provided to participating laboratories within one week from the date of receipt of the Test Report and supporting paperwork and the specimens.
m.Final report will be submitted to NABL within two weeks from the date of receipt of reports from the last participating laboratory.
n.Meena International reserve the right to provide the results to NABL and other statutory bodies required by law.
